Operator Requirements: Boat operators must be at least 25 years old and have a minimum of 5 years experience operating a power boat. In lieu of the required experience, the operator must demonstrate boat handling skills and possess a boating safety certificate of completion from an accredited institute. A charged cell phone must be carried aboard the boat. We require that the operator call us approximately 1/2 hour before returning the boat to its slip. What's Allowed and What's Not: Fishing gear, coolers, food and beverages are allowed on all boats. Grills, portable stoves, and animals (except Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act) are not allowed on any boat. The rental manager may, at his or her discretion, disallow anything that could potentially cause damage to the boat or harm those aboard. To avoid having your credit card charged on the day of your rental, reservations must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. If it is raining at our docks during your scheduled departure time, you will have the option of cancelling without charge. If we determine that the weather is too inclement to safely operate a boat, your credit card will not be charged and we will make every effort to contact you beforehand. Fishing Licenses and Regulations: A freshwater fishing license is required for everyone 16 years of age and older, except for Florida residents over the age of 65. Annual resident licenses are $17 and 3-day nonresident licenses are $17. Licenses can be obtained at most retailer's sporting goods counters. A nominal service charge is added for obtaining licenses by phone (1-888-347-4356) or online at https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/fl/start.php. Click here for fishing regulations.
